Family Practice is the medical specialty which provides continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and the family. The scope of Family Practice encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease entity. While treating illness is a primary goal, wellness evaluations and preventive medicine are an extremely important facet of Family Medicine. Turner Medical Clinic has the facilities for routine medical visits as well as emergency care such as suturing lacerations and treating other injuries. Minor office surgery and joint injections are also available. We have in-house EKG, audiometry, spirometry and phlebotomy for outside lab work. Patients requiring admission are cared for by our physicians at St. James Parish Hospital in Lutcher.
