Turner Medical Clinic Physicians

Joseph P. Turner M.D. graduated from LSU Medical school in New Orleans, LA in 1985 and completed Family Practice Residency in Bogalusa, LA in 1988 as Chief Resident. He joined his father, Ward Turner M.D. at Turner Medical Clinic in 1988. He is the medical director of the acute care unit of St. James Parish Hospital and also serves as vice-chairman of the hospital's governing board. Click for Biography

Martha "Candy" Turner M.D. graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans, LA in 1989. After completing a year of Family Practice Internship at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA, she joined Turner Medical Clinic as a part-time physician. She is the medical ethics director of St. James Parish Hospital. Click for Biography

E. Gene Burns Jr. M.D. graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1991 and completed Family Practice residency in 1994. From 1994 to 2001 he practiced medicine at LaPlace Medical Center. From 2001 until joining Turner Medical Clinic he filled in for physicians in various family and occupational clinics and emergency rooms. Click for Biography
